The Down & Dirty On The Woman Behind The Pen
About The Writer
Hi there! I’m the brain, heart, and occasionally frazzled soul behind Dirty 30 Diaries. If you’re looking for a blog that combines a healthy dose of humor, life lessons, and a few “What was I thinking?” moments, you’ve come to the right place.
Dirty 30 Diaries—a blog fueled by caffeine, chaos, and a refusal to grow up gracefully. If you’re here looking for someone who’s got life all figured out, you’re in the wrong place. But if you’re down to laugh at life’s ridiculousness and maybe pick up a lesson or two along the way, then welcome to my corner of the internet!
Let’s rewind for a sec—Where the heck do I hail from? Well, I was born and raised in a tiny Midwestern town where the gossip spread faster than the church potluck casseroles. Somehow, this small-town girl found herself trading cornfields for palm trees and calling Hawaii home for over the past nine years. (Yes, I traded snow boots for flip-flops, and no, I do not miss scraping ice off my car. Aloha, indeed!)
I’ve worn a lot of hats in life: Army veteran, contracting pro, financial whiz, single dog mom extraordinaire, and brunch connoisseur. And let’s not forget my most important title—coffee addict. Seriously, caffeine is my love language. Without it, this blog would probably just be titled *Blank Pages of Chaos*. My trusty sidekicks are my two dogs, who graciously allow me to live in their house as long as I keep the treats coming.
Now, about my thirties... wow. What a ride. Somewhere between dating disasters that belong in a sitcom, lifting weights at the gym to avoid lifting emotional baggage, and devouring stacks of pancakes like it’s my job, I’ve learned to embrace the messy beauty of this decade. I realized I have a knack for finding the humor in life’s chaos. Trust me there has been plenty to find, I also have a knack for finding myself in the most unusual circumstances. Hence, Dirty 30 Diaries was born—a space where I share relatable stories, the occasional life hack, and my unfiltered adventures of navigating this transformative time. My goal? To make it through in one piece—ideally with a coffee in one hand and a beach chair in the other.
So, here I am—a small-town girl turned city slicker, juggling life in paradise with a gym membership, a beach chair, and a love for all things food. Dirty 30 Diaries is my way of sharing the hilarity, the struggles, and the occasional “aha” moments as I navigate life in my thirties. Whether it’s figuring out how to be a functional adult (is there a manual for this?), laughing through awkward dating moments, or discovering Hawaii’s best brunch spots, this blog is where I spill it all with a healthy dose of sarcasm and a sprinkle of wisdom. I’m on a mission to make it through my 30s in one piece—and I’m bringing you along for the ride.
So, grab a cup of coffee (or three) and come hang out with me. We’ll laugh, cry, and probably eat some pancakes along the way. Welcome to my world. Let’s make it a wild and caffeinated ride!. It’s about to be messy, hilarious, and oh-so-worth it. Let’s tackle this journeytogether—pancakes optional, laughter guaranteed.

Faith & Fumbles
- What gets me through it all
Life has a way of testing your strength, often with plot twists straight out of a drama series. I’ve lived alone, survived two broken engagements, and even got knocked flat in a relationship I thought would lead to marriage. But through all the heartbreaks and setbacks, I’ve leaned on my faith, trusting God’s plan even when it made no sense.
When my plans crumbled, faith gave me the strength to rebuild. Trusting God’s plan taught me to find purpose in the pain and grow through the challenges. Anxiety and depression have been part of my story, but so have love, laughter, and a whole lot of personal growth. I’ve learned to embrace the messy moments, find joy in small victories (and pancakes), and laugh through the chaos—even when life feels like a sitcom gone wrong.

Building Resilience
- You're not breaking, you're building
Trusting God’s plan taught me to find purpose in the pain and grow through the challenges. Now, I value faith, love, and growth above all else. The pain and awkwardness? They’re just proof that I’m living, leaning on Him brought hope and resilience I never thought possible. And surviving it all? That’s my daily win. With a little faith and a lot of humor, I’m making it through—one step at a time.
My hope for you as my readers, is that my blogs inspire the same strength, healing, guidance, and motivation to continue striving through your own lives one mess at a time. Sometimes treasures are just buried a little deeper and require a bit more digging. In order to get there I've learned you gotta be willing to get a little messy, a little dirty, and a few layers deeper if you want to get to the good stuff.
